Baby Room

Well, in case you hadn't heard, we are officially expecting our first child!! Yes, you read that right. The baby is due mid April and we couldn't be happier. John and I are really excited at the chance to become parents and feel very blessed. The last doctor appointment measured the baby at a whopping 3.4 lbs which is right on target for 30 weeks. Although it was sound asleep through the entire process, we were able to see the lips and cheeks on the face.

I am finally over the dreaded sickness phase (thanks goodness) and am enjoying life. Neither one of us can believe how quickly the time has gone by since we got the great news in August. We don't know if Baby Gibson is a boy or girl. It is much more exciting this way, or at least we think so!

John has been working feverishly on the baby room since the holidays ended. We didn't think the lavender paint that was already up on the walls was quite gender neutral so new paint was in order. We selected the bedding and then the paint colors that we though complemented the design. Paint is up and the chair rail too. It was the first time for John to put up a chair rail and I must say, it looks GREAT!

The crib should be here shortly and we can put out the bedding we selected. Since we aren't sure the gender of the baby, we chose baby animals as the theme for the room. We love it! Once the crib arrives, we will update the site so you can see the close to final prodect.
