Swim Time...
John and I thought it was the perfect weather for Elizabeth to try out her new swimming pool. She seemed pretty excited too.

First Birthday Party for Elizabeth...
Elizabeth was able to celebrate her FIRST birthday with family and friends. So many people came to wish her well on her special day. Thanks to all of you! Below are some pics from the event. Enjoy!
Elizabeth's First Cake
The Gibson Family before Elizabeth took part in the "Cake"
As soon as she was placed on the table, she DOVE for the cake. Had to hold her back for the song to be completed. Silly girl!
MMMMMMMM.......
Took a quick bath and re-joined the party. Look, I'm standing!!! Thanks for all the super cool clothes, books & toys. I loved getting in and out of the pool to check them all out.
Easter 2012
Here is our little bunny on her second Easter. She sure enjoyed the egg hunt & dying eggs at school.

Time...
Where does time go? It truly seems that Elizabeth was just born. John and I should have believed other parents when they said time flies and to savour every moment. How true it is! When we first discovered we were expecting, we opted to not find out the gender of our future bundle of joy, that didn't matter to us as much as a healthy baby in the end. I can say I always knew the baby was a girl, it was just a feeling I had. I think John felt the same way.
Last April 11, John & I met with our doctor and determined it was "time" to meet our little baby. We were lucky enough to have an opportunity to select the date of April 12th. I cannot even imagine having to have waited for that "moment" like many other mothers do. It was a long night on the 11th and the morning of the 12th came pretty fast before heading to the hospital at 5:30am. Mixed feelings cannot even begin to describe how John & I were feeling. Excitement, nervous, terror, delight were just a few.
We had great nurses (and was the only delivering couple in the hospital at the time which I am sure helped our care) who tended to us very well. After the medicine started working its magic, it wasn't long before we met Elizabeth Anne Gibson. She melted our hearts from the first time our eyes met. What a treasure she was at that moment and still is today!
